Jennifer Wider is executive vice president of TIS Foundation and leads the team to drive resource development, establish innovative partnerships, implement programs and manage operations. Jennifer joined TIS after serving as the founding executive director of the Center for Advancing Opportunity (CAO), which focused on developing research-based solutions to the most pressing issues in fragile communities.
Ms. Wider formerly served as vice president of Innovation & Strategic Initiatives at Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF). During that time, she led the planning and implementation of two of TMCF’s largest initiatives totaling nearly $70 million. Prior to this role she also served as vice president of development at TMCF and National Director of Corporate Relations at UNCF. Over her career, Jennifer has delivered nearly $500 million in private and federal grants in a broad range of areas, including research, education, economic and community development, technology, health and justice. Her track record demonstrates a breadth of knowledge and experience in developing innovative solutions to some of today’s most critical socioeconomic challenges. She is a native of New York and a graduate of Syracuse University.
